Taryn Möller Nicoll is a South African arts administrator and visual artist who specializes in curatorial practice, community engagement and creative placemaking. Her curatorial portfolio includes exhibition development at the KANEKO, the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art, the TEDA Museum of Modern Art, and others.
Nicoll is the Arts and Culture Program Administrator at the City of Healdsburg, CA. Prior to this appointment, she was the Curator and Research Manager for the Beasley Foundation of Sculptural Arts in Oakland, CA. She previously served as Chief Curator at the City of Pembroke Pines, FL, where she curated exhibitions at The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, Studio 18 Art Complex and the Charles F. Dodge City Center.
Nicoll’s studio practice explores the intersection of fine art, medical science and the human body. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Johns Hopkins Welch Medical Library and the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum. She was the inaugural Artist in Residence at the Louisiana State University Neuroscience School of Excellence, LA, and she is the recipient of 2024 Artist Fellowship at Gallery Route One in Point Reyes, CA.
Nicoll received a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA, and an MFA from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA.
